For the past 30 years, The Project of the Quad Cities has hosted a Red Ribbon Gala in support of services for people living with HIV. Thanks to your help, we have raised significant funds that allow vital services to remain accessible at no-cost.
But a lot has changed over 30 years. As we look to the future of HIV/AIDS, we know the type of support we provide will evolve. Survivors from the 80s and 90s are aging, meaning their needs will shift—and so must the type of support we provide.
To better amplify that support, we’re excited to present the Red Ribbon Candyland Ball on Friday, Dec. 6 at the historic Hotel Blackhawk in downtown Davenport.

The Red Ribbon Candyland Ball will leave attendees feeling enchanted as they step into a world inspired by Willy Wonka’s sweetest dreams! Your taste buds will journey far, far away upon invitation from desserts prepared by local restaurants and bakeries. Delicious appetizers will be served along with candy-fied cocktails and entertainment.
Make Room for Dessert…and a Little Competition
We’re calling on all local restaurants and bakeries to compete in the first ever Red Ribbon Dessert Contest! Attendees will vote for their favorite sweet treat using dollars. The winner will receive a cash prize of $1,000!
