Help us build a better village through Board service at TPQC!
At TPQC, we’re on a mission to build a better village for people living with HIV and the LGBTQ+ community, but we need your help to make it happen!
TPQC is recruiting new board members to support our mission of creating a positive impact. We are committed to diversity and are looking for a board that reflects our community.
Want to know more about what Board members do? Great! We’ve got you covered!
What does it mean to be on a board?
The Board of Directors is the governing body of a nonprofit organization, who steers the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure the nonprofit has adequate resources to advance its mission. The Board of Directors is a vital part of the safety and success of the organization.
Sounds like a big job… what exactly would I have to do?
Regular attendance and engagement at monthly Board meetings is the primary responsibility of the Board of Directors. At these meetings, you will lend your experience, expertise, and strategy to help make decisions that guide the organization forward. Throughout the year, there will be other opportunities to volunteer your time, talent, and treasure.
Do I have to have past Board experience to apply?
Absolutely not! No prior board experience is required.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in finance, legal, or human resources, as well as those who bring lived or community-based experience.
Priority consideration will be given to people living with HIV, people of color, or those from the LGBTQ+ community. However, the most important quality we seek is a genuine commitment to our mission.
If you are passionate about making a difference, we encourage you to apply and join us in building a more inclusive future.
