Join Us for An Evening of Wonder
You're invited to the 27th annual Red Ribbon Gala on Saturday, March 28, 2020. We promise to both dazzle and astound with this year's marvelous program.
About the Red Ribbon Gala
For nearly 27 years, the Annual Red Ribbon Gala has raised funds to support our clients living with HIV & AIDS. The event features live entertainment, silent and live auction items, and a delicious dinner.
Every year we also present the Dr. Louis Katz Award, named after an area physician who's had a positive impact on those living with HIV/AIDS. Moreover, Dr. Katz was on the front lines in the 80s when HIV/AIDS began impacting marginizlied communities, especially LGBTQ+ and people of color.
This Year's Dr. Louis Katz Award Recipient
This year we are excited to honor Sandee Millage with the 3rd Annual Dr. Louis Katz Award. As a nurse, Sandee has proven herself to be a tireless advocate for those living with HIV/AIDS. She first started caring for folks with HIV/AIDS in 1985 at St. Luke's Hospital, eventually moving to the outpatient Virology Clinic in the mid 1990s.
Working closely with Dr. Louis Katz, Sandee's resilience and compassion as a nurse and human being have saved thousands of lives.
As one admirer put it, "Sandee was a light in the darkness for many."
